The Bayleaf mirror features a simple glass within a generous hand-woven border of English-grown sycamore. The strength and suppleness of woven wood is expressed in the gentle curve of the frame as it arcs away from the wall at either end.

Everything that leaves our workshop does so with a 10 year guarantee. The finishes we use provide good resistance to spillages wiped away relatively quickly with a damp cloth. We recommend a spray cleaner by Osmo when a damp cloth doesn’t suffice and an annual liquid wax cleaner to keep the wood finish up to strength.
We offer a refinishing service, subject to quotation. Remedial work can be carried out on site or in our workshops depending on the work required and the location and size of the item in need of refinishing.

The frame is made from solid English ash, woven with flexible strips of English ash, in our workshop. The Bayleaf settle can be upholstered in your own fabric (customer’s own material, COM) or fabric supplied by us. Listed price includes the upholstery cost, but excludes fabric.
Shown here in Scottish elm and English ash, this piece is available in any one of the British hardwoods we work with. Each piece is made to order in our south east London workshop.
The Bayleaf carver chair is the more generous companion to the Bayleaf dining chair. The addition of arms makes it the perfect chair to place at the head of the table. It is simple in design and sturdy in structure, blending a traditional frame design with mortise and tenon joints, with a Windsor chair where turned elements mortised into the seat give it great strength. This blended design is made with hand skills from our makers as well as digital fabrication from our CNC router. Designed to last a lifetime, light to pick up and comfortable to use. A large mirror made from solid elm grown in Britain, skilfully bent into an elegant oval frame. Kerf is the name given to the gap left in wood by the blade of a saw. It is these calculated cuts, or kerfs, in the frame that remove wood and create space to allow the graceful curves of the oval shape to be bent from solid elm, rather than steam bending or using veneers.
The Bayleaf floating bedside table is a wall hung shelf perfect for a cup of morning tea or evening read, with storage space beneath, partially hidden from view by a woven front panel. Every bedside table is made entirely from solid English-grown walnut or sycamore.
