Meet the New Sweven Bedside Table
Sweven, an old English word meaning ‘to sleep’ or ‘to dream’.
Introducing the Sweven bedside table. Made from solid, English-grown oak and finished using our in-house liming technique, it’s rich, tactile and quietly beautiful. A single door opens away from the bed, revealing an adjustable shelf inside. The legs have gently rounded corners, and its neat footprint makes it equally as comfortable in modest spaces as it is in generous rooms.
The Sweven bedside table is an often-imagined piece that I have doodled and drawn for some number of years. I’ve returned to the form with pencil in hand after visiting my favourite arts and crafts houses. I have sketched the design after spending time in contemporary galleries. It is an enduring design, not just in my mind’s eye but in graceful, sensitively designed bedrooms too.
