Trentino Storage: new modular storage produced in Italy

The Sebastian Cox design studio has collaborated with Italian manufacturer L'Arte del Legno as part of the London Design Fair's initiative, Trentino Collaborations, to produce Trentino Storage.

Trentino Collaborations directly connects British designers with Trentino-based manufacturers, using industrial and handcraft processes to create design-led, cutting edge works. Working alongside us were Max Lamb, Lucy Kurrein and Giles Miller. Our new creations were launched this week at the London Design Fair.

In researching the rich heritage of Trentino we discovered that the region has a strong tradition of basket making. We wanted to capture the beauty and texture of woven surfaces in a functional and versatile piece, which celebrates the landscape and craft of Trentino. Importantly, the piece is functional and modular to make it practical and reduce the carbon impact of shipping to international audiences.
